This villa (in the extended, french meaning of the word) encloses many houses designed by Guimard, in its typical style, similar for example to the Hotel Mezzara.

This little house, almost extern to the villa, is important because here we can see the architect prior to Art Nouveau. We can see a neo-gothic mark, a neo-medieval one, romanic arches, towers, simple geometric decorations.

But on the internal walls (I?ve seen it through a window) we could already foresee the future of this architect. The walls of the stairs were decorated with flowing lines, in the typical whip shape. From now on, it is only a matter of time to bring decoration from a bi-dimensional surface to a three-dimensional volume.
