This is the first building that I?ve noticed and photographed as I emerged from the subway at the XVI. I didn?t know the author, but I could perceive something known (??) hidden behind a Deco sober facade.
Perhaps I was just lucky enough, who knows?
Here we can notice the evolution taken by this architect, we find geometric lines that once were much more sinuous. We see many things that could remind us of Art Nouveau, for example the window-sills, but what really gives old Guimard away are the windows and the entrance of the ground floor, they are just like a trade mark.
