Lichtenvoordes main branch of industry, since a long time, is the working up of leather. This beautiful manor was the dwelling place of one of the first directors of the factory. The house was indeed built for the director of the local leathercompany "Sterenborg", there's also a bath house on the back of the house. Since 1994, Bennie and Annet W. are the owners of the house. In 2000 they built a garage in Jugendstil on the rightside of the house. The architect of the garage was B.H.Stronks (Temming BV) from Lichtenvoorde.
